Supporting the Future of Public Transport at the Forum of Transport Organizers in Gdańsk

We were proud to be a sponsor of the Forum of Transport Organizers (FOT), hosted by the Public Transport Authority in Gdańsk (ZTM Gdańsk) on 25–26 September 2025. The two-day event, held under the theme “New Technologies in the Service of Efficient Public Transport”, brought together dozens of experts from across Poland to discuss innovation, data, and the digital transformation of urban mobility.

A platform for knowledge and innovation
The first day of the forum featured engaging presentations and discussions on modern scheduling tools, data-driven transport management, and the role of open data in public mobility. Representatives from Gdańsk, Poznań, and Warsaw shared valuable insights on how data transparency and system integration contribute to better passenger experiences and more efficient service planning.
On the second day, theory met practice as forum participants visited TRAKO 2025 at AmberExpo — one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for transport technology — where the latest solutions shaping the future of mobility were showcased. During this event, our company proudly presented its IRMA passenger counting sensors, giving visitors the opportunity to see our devices in action and experience our unique detection technology, which enables precise and fully automatic passenger counting in public transport vehicles.

Supporting smart, data-driven mobility
At iris, we were delighted to support this important industry event. The forum’s focus on digital transformation and open data strongly aligns with our mission: enabling public transport operators to make data-driven decisions through reliable and precise passenger analytics.
Our IRMA passenger counting sensors are a key component of this transformation. As standard equipment in public transport vehicles across Poland, Europe, and worldwide, IRMA sensors provide operators with accurate, real-time passenger data that supports:
- Efficient service planning through precise passenger flow insights
- Better resource allocation by matching capacity to demand
- Enhanced passenger comfort by optimizing vehicle load and frequency
- Transparent reporting for funding and performance evaluation
- Integration with modern transport systems, including ticketing, fleet management, and open-data platforms
By combining our advanced sensor technology with intelligent data processing, cities can move closer to the vision of smart, sustainable, and passenger-oriented mobility.
